I have
watched every year. There has never been a more unique and talented contestant. The NEW Michael McDonald/Joe Cocker/Lou Rawls… etc…etc…all rolled up into one.
Taylor’s versions of “In the Ghetto” and “Do I make you sniff…snniiifff… Cry/Proud?” truly have made me cry each time I have heard him.I loved Taylor’s version of Levon as much as I loved Elton John’s. Maybe more. You can see it here.
He is far from the “top 40 everything sounds the same to me.” His unique style mixes a bit from the past, with his own Self. He resounds with a vibration that gives me goosebumps, chills and evoke my emotions in every range possible. Yes, I am a Soul Patrol Convert. I now bless him with the Title of The Official Church of the Great Oval “Singin’ Spaz”. He fits right in in my book. He is from Alabama even…I’ve no idea if he is a NASCAR fan or not. Memorial Day Weekend
We are headed out tomorrow morning for a little long weekend. We are going up into the Eagle Cap Wilderness area of OR ` Sumpter OR to be exact. There is a huge flea market and goldmining festival there evry Memeorial Day Weekend. I can’t wait.
It’s also my growing up stomping grounds. I grew up in Eastern Or and lived in the Eagle Caps Wilderness area of Joseph/ Wallowa Lake as an adult for awhile. I also live in the teensy town of Richland when I was little and my father was working on the Construction of Hells Canyon Dam. Those years of living in Richland were the happiest of my childhood. I think that is where my love of freedom and joy began. I got my first “big”bike there. The town was so tiny. I was in second grade and I could go all over town all by my self. It was the first place we ever lived that I had my own room. I could walk or ride through town and people would say “Hi Clance! The entire town would shut down for homecoming football games. All the surrounding homes and farms had to tie down any loose, because it all ended up on Main St. at some point in the night. Mail boxes…Outhouses. Sheds. Wheelbarrows. Yard Decor. You name it…you would have to go retrieve it. It was wonderful!

Dale Jarrett left RYR on his own accord. There was plenty of warning. Now Eddie D’Hondt will be leaving too, not by choice. Yate” decision to fire D’Hondt is about losing more than Jarrett. This is about losing UPS. They should have been thinking about that a long…long. time ago.
They might consider hiring a Crytal Ball Seer so she/he can tell them ~ “I see Toyota cars with UPS all over them in the future…I see Elliot Sadler saying…I shouldn’t HAVE to run the Busch races…I should just be in the races I want to be. Why should I just make you more money when there are more than enough Busch Whacker’s in there.” She would see him running away from Robert Yates Racing as soon as he possibly can…”

When the rumors began about DJ going to Toyota, we had some very interesting conversations about Fan/Driver loyalty. He loves Dale Jarrett. His license plate on his truck read UPS 88. His bathroom in our home is a DJ bathroom. We have more pictures of DJ on the walls of our home than we do of the kids and grandkids. SERIOUSLY. When we were first considering buying a new truck, my Dale fully intended to buy his truck from Dale Jarrett Ford. When the time came that we bought one, Dale was going through his treatment and was too sick to do that, so we bought locally. That was the only thing that kept him from flying there and driving back with a Ranger that had Dale Jarrett Ford on the back of the tailgate and license plate frame.
He at first was upset. I said “Well you not a very loyal fan, now are you? I would think that if you really were a Dale Jarrett fan then it wouldn’t matter who he drove for would it? Of couse that led to retorts of ” There is a differance between being a 
fan and a stalker.” implying I am a Tony Stewart stalker.
Bla bla bla….ya-da-ya-da-ya-da…Slurp…
Then he started talking about how he didn’t think RYR was giving Jarrett what he needed to race well. He was ticked about the Todd Parrott shuffle. Then it was, “What’s up with the engineering here? It has to be something!” Then he would go back to NASCAR should onnly have American made cars…bla…bla…bla. Again.
When the Mikey made the “announcement that he was going to make an announcement” it gave my #1 #88 a day to think about whether he was abandoning ship or not. He knew he was going to have to make a choice. (Being forced to choose is not a favorite thing of his in any part of life. He’s an independent thinking kinda guy. Usually if he is forced into something he will go the opposite way …running…right or wrong. Usually wrong. Like me.)
Anyway…he stuck with Jarrett’s decision and is actually excited about the possibilities. He is praying UPS does goe with Jarrett. He kind of likes my idea of Chad being Jarrett’s crew Chief if the NASCAR World was controlled by me.
SO on we go…
Like I said at the beginning of the year in my ‘scopes…2006 is going to continue to be a year of Great Controversy in NASCAR.

NASCAR Culture and Diversity
In celebration of Diversity Week at a Large U.S. Corporation, the Corporation put together teams of different ethnic backgrounds together for a day, to learn about each other cultures and heritages, and lifestyles.
One of the teams consisted of a young Native American from Arizona, fresh out of college. There was a Bosnian Refugee, an Afro – American from Detroit, a Hispanic from Texas, and a White guy from Somewhere in the South.
They spent the day walking walking through the woods near Corporation Headquarters. The Bosian gentleman told horror stories of his entire family hiding in different places as bombs destroyed buildings and bullets whizzed passed their heads. He was very grateful for his new home in the U.S.
The Afro American had grown up in a project in Detroit, working very hard since he was a child to help support his family, and to help them escape poverty. He had been very lucky to be able to go through college because of the Civil Rights Act.
The Hispanic gentleman’s family had came to the U.S. on a work permit to work in the fields and do jobs American’s refused to do for pennies a day in the hot sun. The entire family had went through the Immigration process legally and were full fledged American’s still working hard for pittance in the hot sun every day.
The men discussed their heritages and experiences and shared their lives with each other.
The White guy wasn’t sure what his cultural heritage was, so he talked abo
ut the culture of NASCAR, it’s history, and how Diversity and Inclusion was a top priority these days. He told them he had been raising hound dogs for hunting like Elliot Sadler, his favorite NASCAR driver. He thought maybe he should get a different male for breeding. He thought there might be something wrong all the males he had now. He had used his breeding bitches pups so he didn’t have to spend any more money on his puppy mill.
The Native American rolled his eyes and changed the subject. He talked about the Earth being our Mother and how she provided any need that man could have. He said there are certain laws of nature that should never be broken. Suddenly, he ran up a hill to the mouth of a small cave.
“Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!” he called into the cave and listened closely until he heard an answering, “Wooooo! Wooooo! Woooooo!”
He then tore off his clothes and ran into the cave.
The White Guy was puzzled and asked the remaining men what that was all about. “Was that Indian crazy or what?”
The Hispanic gentlemen replied “No, it is an old custom…
at manhood, when a young Indian Brave saw a cave, they would yell ‘Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!’ into the opening of the cave. If they got an answer back, it meant there would be a beautiful woman in there waiting for them.
He asked the White Guy, “Didn’t you just hear him tell you that ancient story?” He shook his head and wondered if the White Guy listened to anyone besides himself. How rude.
Just then they came upon another cave. The Bosnian and the Afro-American got a little nervous and said they needed to go home and left.
The Hispanic man ran up to the cave, stopped, and yelled: “Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!!” Immediately, there was the answer, “Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!” from deep inside. He looked around to see if anyone was watching and ran into the opening. He came back out of the cave with 20 beautiful Hispanic women, 10 men and a bunch of children. They all ran as fast as they could, in different directions, into the woods.
The White Guy was puzzled, and decided to wander around in the woods alone for a while, to try to think on a deeper level about life. He then spied a third large cave. He looked in amazement at the size of the huge opening.
He thought, “Hoo WHEE!. Man! Look at the size of this cave! It is bigger than the one the Indian or the Mexican found. There must be some really big, fine women in this cave!”
He stood in front of the opening and hollered with all his might “Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!”
Like the others, he then heard an answering call, “WOOOOOOOOO,WOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOO!”
With a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face, he raced into the cave, tearing off his clothes as he ran…

Like I have said all along. NASCAR and creative engineering have always been around. Pushing the edge is what has created a safer sport. Faster cars that handle better. It is the way it is now and the way it will be in the future. It’s all part of the game. You play, you pay…if you don’t want to pay…don’t get caught.
NASCAR is looking a little harder at those “little things” these day. Big Daddy took a parenting class and is trying to be consistant with the children. There is always a lot of crying and fit throwing when changes happen to the toddler’s routine. But then again… that is how children mature and become wiser.

**Update on Dale: Dale’s hell still continue’s in a lot of ways. He is still in a lot of pain all the time. His energy lever is nil. He is sleeping most of the time right now, catching up and healing from the ordeal. The Ribaviron stays in his system for 6 months. BUT at least the psych effects from the Interferon and Ribaviron combo are getting better every day. I am seeing some of the “guy I fell in love with” a little more every day. He is not near as cranky, and we even went 7 whole days without a disagreement of any kind (other than our political oppositional stands about George dummer-n-IQ60-ya. ** ).
Life is beginning to get back to normal in tiny bits every day.

Shane Wilson, crew chief for the No. 21 Chevrolet driven by Kevin Harvick, was fined $10,000 and placed on probation until December 31, 2006 (for violation of Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q, Section 20-A-12.8.1E: rear quarter panel height did not meet the required specification – too low in post-race inspection.)
Harvick was penalized 25 driver points and Richard Childress lost 25 owner points due to the infractions.Team owner DeLana Harvick will forfeit a total of 50 NASCAR Busch Series owner points, 25 points for each driver.

May 1st, 2006 will be remembered forever in the History Library of the Universe as a Day of Great Importance. I am personally in charge of deciding what events to put in there and what events to leave out.
The events I have chosen to leave standing as memorable are:
1. **1,320,000 people took part in rallies marking Spring and Labor Day in Russia on May 1
2. **Members Of New Black Panther Group March Near Duke U in response to recent rape allegations.
3. **Jimmy Johnson out ran everyone at Talladega
4. ** There was a protest or two in the US yesterday. Something about immigration. I refuse to give it anymore attention. I am tired of hearing about it.
5. **A lot of other very important things that affected the lives of many human beings.
6. **Time Magazine named it’s “Top 100 People Who influence our World”.
What I refuse to enter as memorable events:
1.George dumer-n-IQ of 6o gave another speech about how dumb he thinks the American people are.
2. Anna Nicole anything (She had to have had a lot of surgery after that “diet”. Her skin is fitting her body. That’s impossible, even with a good diet and exercise. Even if she did eat a lot of “shells” to keep her full.)
3. Brain (oops, I meant Brian.) France, **GET BACK CLANCE’!! – DOWN I SAY!!** Howard Stern, and Elie Wiesel were even mentioned on the same page with the words ” Top 100″ or “World Shaper’s”.
I had to take Clance’ over this morning…she went out of control yesterday. Rant, rant…rave, rave. Her #1 #88 fan begged me to take her over yesterday, so that she might be fit to speak to other live human beings. However, I decided to make him wait. Just because I can…I believe she is composing a post for her other blog On a Quest regarding Elie Wiesel, Immigration and “World Influencers” at this given moment, to be posted a bit later today. I have instructed her to calm down prior to publishing any of her rantings.
She does acknowlege Brian France and the positive changes he has brought to her beloved sport of NASCAR. I think she even liked the article that Darrell Waltrip wrote for the Time piece. She just has a bit of an issue with a few of the names that have been associated with the term “Top 100 People Who Shape of our World”.
Not a lot of names, just a few.
She can be a handful at times.”

NASCAR in Talledega -Astro Predictions and Driver Forecasts
I am more than likely the only person in the world that is happy when a race is rained out. The aspects and transits changed significantly from yesterday to today, for all the driver’s. Today is exact half way between Spring Equinox and Summer Soltice, known traditionally as Beltaine or May Day. Note that the last race that was rained out was in Atlanta, which fell on the day before Spring Equinox. The race was ran on the first day of Spring. I always find the changes and starts of each Astrological and Earth cycle fascinating. Remember that references to sexual impulses also relate to assertion and agression. Positive and Negative… (** For you Robby Gordon fans, Robbie has had very strong falling in love forever “soulmate” aspects in his chart all year, and for the next 6 months. Just a little tidbit of info. Commitment time.)
Pay particular attention to the ‘scopes marked with **, and the time that they go into effect. There may very well be a “Big One”. The aspect that went into effect for Tony Stewart on Saturday (Mars Square Uranus) during the Busch Race is still in effect, however, he has a new stronger aspect influencing and counter-balancing him today. On the other hand, Mars Square Uranus goes into effect in Jeff Gordon’s scope at 3:22 PM EST today. There are “accident” aspects in several other ‘scope’s, tho not as major as Mars Square Uranus in Tony and Jeff’s casts. Say a little extra prayer for these driver’s and this race. As always in our lives, Prayer overcomes all negativity.
