NASCAR ~ Kenseth sweeps California!

Congrat’s to Matt Kenseth for the California sweep! I heard Bab’s screaming clear from TX.

A good broom was needed. Sure was a lot of crap flying round that track.

I was really sorry to see Harvick’s tire “issue”.

Glad Tony and Ryan had a good day.

Very glad David R. is alive and ok.

Really don’t give a rip about Mark Martin.

Glad John Paul the Pope of Motor Sports did not rip into a wall.

Really Glad I didn’t pay to go see that race.

I am always prompt to admit when I am wrong.

I was right on a few calls. I was right about both Jr.’s and some fuel issues. Policy changes? Perhaps. We will see.

I was way wrong on one main point.

California was boring. Very, very…boring.

What I did while watching? the race:

1. Read a good portion of Dr. Laura’s Women Power.

2. Got bored with that.

3. Played a thousand hands of Poker on the computer.

4. Thought about taking a nap while Dale was taking a nap.

5. Promised Dale I would wake him if anything exciting happened. He woke up by himself with 18 to go.

6. Thought about going outside and fixing the plastic on the green house that the wind ripped off during the snow blizzard of the day.

7. Changed my mind.

8. Played more Poker.

9. Played Hearts.

10. Surfed the net a bit and found this post , which was the highlight of the day…

There are going to be a lot of women in trouble if the Govt. ever searches our homes when they have nothing better to do with their time than I did today.

Later Gator’s! It has stopped snowing and I need to go count cows while it is still daylight and make sure the coyotes didn’t eat any cow babie’s while I wasted my time watching that race.

NASCAR in Cali ~ Me in OR

Crud!! We are getting hit by a huge snowstorm… I can only get intermittent signal and am unable to stay on line long. If I lose my signal to TV I am going to be ticked. So far , so good. I have went outside and wiped the snow off the dish probably 50 times this morning. I still have a little pixelization. Hopefully I will be able to watch the race.

I said last night that the horoscopes for some of the driver’s are wildly complicated and that I would write more this morning. The’scope’s of these driver’s all signify controversy, disputes, hot heads and policy changes. Hmmm…I see “fuel” issues. I am not talking about the unleaded fuel or jet fuel either.

 There are only two driver’s with exceptionally good  ‘scope’s. Ryan Newman and Jeff Gordon. Elliot Sadler’s isn’t too bad tho nothing like The Rocketman and Gordo.  Their  aspect’s are nearly identical. If you want to see Jeff Gordon’s go read Ryan’s from last night’s post. Go Ryan!! Tho I hate to say this…stay away from Robby Gordon. I love Robby Gordon. I so hope I am wrong about him and Dale Jarrett. NASCAR in California ~ Astro Predictions ~

I missed going to the last Cali race when I broke my ankle/leg, and had surgery the day of the race. I begged my doc to get me out of surgery and have me awake to see the race. He thought it was hilarious afterward’s because I woke up in the recovery room asking the nurses to turn on the TV because I was missing the race. They laughed at me and said, “We were warned by your Dr. you were going to be fussing if we didn’t have a TV.” We will get you up to your room as soon as you are ready and stabilized. I got a little pissy with them ( I sort of remember…) and by the time they got me to my room there were  a few laps left and I got to see the end. I still to this day cannot remember who won with out checking back. LOL.
Normally we shoot for Fontana, Las Vegas and Phoenix for sure, with TX also being a regular. We are in OR closing ( actually we closed it yesterday!! More on that later…) up our deal on the ranch, so didn’t make it to Fontana. We are still shooting for Vegas, but may have to do a one nighter this year instead of the 4 day trip we normally do. I want to see that race even more than normal this year. I think the changes to the track will make it awesome!! Is California Speedway boring? We will just have to see.

NASCAR’S newest Baby?

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Gordon have announced that the child Mrs. Gordon is carrying is a girl. The little girl will no doubt, (and I am totally serious here) be one of the most beautiful children ever born. The genetics looks are undeniable on both sides of the family tree. She has absolutely no chance of ever being an ugly person.

Well, here is my post from last night. I don’t know if Blogger was down or what, but I kept getting the message: This page is not available when I would try to publish. This has been happening a lot. Wow!! What a finish!! Congrats to Kevin Harvick for the Double Daytona win!! I was really rooting for Mark Martin, then WHOOSH!! Here came the Happy Banana Head Ronald McDonald looking Boy from outta nowhere! Great race.
I was sick when Tony wrecked, elated when the Elder Alien so humbly admitted his guilt (tho it wasn’t his fault), sick again when Ryan had the engine issues and Jr. wrecked, and really sick when I thought that Baby Busch might take away the win from Mark Martin. It would have been great for Mark to win, but as I have said before, Mark’s chart shows him to fall one step short of his highest goals for life in his Natal Placements. I was so oping to admit that I was wrong.
I said Baby Busch was a wreck waiting to happen and I was right. That particular aspect always follows through.
Ricky Rudd showed he can still drive like the wind, David Gilliland is force that is going to be have to be reckoned with and a shoe in with John Paul the Pope of Motorsports for Rookie of the year. Clint Boyer proved that one can finish a race upside down spinning and on fire! Glad he was O.K. SCARY!!
So congrats to Kevin Harvick.
Now I am going to eat some crow. I have said all along that eventually Directv would offer a NASCAR subscription. I believe that most of their subscription are nothing but a rip off. I admit that this time I am wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the driver dedicated channels in the NASCAR Pass, that was provided free this weekend. Yes…I may even purchase it.

NASCAR – Daytona 500 – Kyle Busch Astro -Prediction

I am going to clarify myself here, as I received many an e-mail that I “pick” on Baby Busch too much.

NASCAR 2007 Predictions – The Dueling has begun!

Congrat’s to Tony Stewart (**The 4th win of 2007!!) and “**why are they looking under the car with a flashlight?” Jeff Gordon! Alas…I am once again in the Burnt River Canyon and must leave to the wilds of the mining world of rocks and tunnels and gold and gems in a few minutes, and will have no sat signal to find out until probably tomorrow or worse…(scary!!) Sunday. Or maybe I will just go home. The air here makes me better. I think the only reason I was sick is because I was in the city with the lovely inversion and pollution. I was fine as soon as we got here.
Dale Jr. came back after that spin, with an awesome run!! Way to go!!
I was also very happy that Mikey earned his way in the way he should have and was humble and pensive about the “issues” that have arisen. He is acting as I would expect him to as a fine human being with true character would. I was sweating on Front row Joe. Whew!! Mike Wallace fought like heck and pulled it off. I was sorry Brian Vickers got wiped out and Juan Pablo Montoya wasn’t able to stay in the race. I think he just didn’t feel that tire. Oh well, he’s in . I think I will call him John Paul, or the Pope. Isn’t he almost a Pope in the auto racing world? I am sure I will offend someone eventually this yea, so I may as well start now.

NASCAR 2007 _Mikey’s Star’s

One of the themes I am seeing over and over in all of the driver’s 6 months scope’s is the “This is the time where choice’s between honesty, integrity and walking fine lines are the main lesson of the year”.
This aspect, Jupiter trine Mars, creates an easy flow of energy that enables one to act much more effectively than usual and to take initiatives that demand foresight, careful planning and considerable self-confidence. Almost any initiative taken now will work out as wanted, if done with complete and total integrity. It is a good time to start any enterprise.

NASCAR Adrenaline Overdose??

I seem to have picked up either some kind of really horrid bug or am having an extreme reaction to the adrenaline rush I got from the Bud Shootout. I am not sure which it is. I am an adrenaline junky and maybe I overdosed.
Going back to bed..and staying there til I feel better.

Bud Shootout- Tony Stewart Wins!!

Congrats to Tony for winning the Bud Shootout! There was some great racin‘ there. Slick tires, “ya best get out of my way” types of signals…I loved it. I thought for a moment that Baby Busch was coming along side Tony to tell him how much he appreciated the 8 more laps to go (“excuse me , I have somewhere to go”) bump, but he was a good boy.

I am so glad the season has started. I missed it alot.

I was really sorry that Elliot, Jr., and Denny had the finish they did. They were running so well.

That is one of the things I love so much about the sport. You never know what the outcome will be til the finish line is crossed.

Thanks so much to all the Driver’s that compete so hard. They all deserve applause. Every driver in the Cup has worked very hard to get where they are.

Tony as usual spoke his mind today. I love it! When he said that France n=makes millions or billions (whatever it was) he could at least hire couple people to get the debris off the track without making the driver’s miss practice time. I agree. I also volunteer for the job. Dale and I both.

Celebrate NASCAR’s Return!! Win a Dale JR. BACK IN THE DAY – 1st Season DVD Set!!

The time has finally come…we are down to the wire…only a few more day’s until NASCAR Season is upon us!! The wait is nearly over!! The Daytona 500 is finally here!!

I have been given the opportunity to review Dale Jr.’s BACK IN THE DAY, entire season 1 DVD set. As a relatively new fan of only about a decade short a couple of years:) NASCAR history was not there for me. I, being a history buff anyway, had become obsessed with finding out as much as I could. Well, what I found out, is there is a lot to find out. This sport has some seriously interesting history. The DVD set gives any fan, a good background in NASCAR history if they don’t already know it, and a lot of memories for those who do. It gave me a tremendous respect for the “old timers”.

BACK IN THE DAY was based on the vintage racing footage from the old program, “Car and Track”. The footage, mostly from the 60′s and 70′s. You can watch driver’s like Richard Petty, Bobby Allison and David Pearson drive like the “good ol’boys” drove. Find out what the term “Old School” really means.

The NASCAR of today and the NASCAR then were the same yet very, very different. The “Old School” driver’s went out there to win and that was it. They won any way they could. The rivalries were real and the respect was real. Temper’s blew like bombs. “Cheating” was “Creative Engineering” and not vice versa. They were out there to kick butt, no matter how it was done.

The safety precautions that were not there, and the speeds those driver’s went blow my mind. I think there is a fine line between brave and crazy sometimes. When Darrell Waltrip say “bad fast” or “crazy fast” it can be decided in today’s terms but really applied to the “old days”. You had to be bad fast and crazy to do what those MEN did.

One of the other things that I really enjoy is the “trivia” and what was “Going on in the World” bubble that are injected through out each episode. It, number one, makes me think of what I remember about that time, shows me I am wrong ( “Hey I thought I was in Jr. high then, not High School”) in my own time line…makes me feel old and young at the same time and reminds me of the things I forgot. Teaches me things I didn’t know. I loved every moment I watched of the entire season set.

The DVD set is put together absolutely beautifully. It includes every episode of BACK IN THE DAY plus some bonus footage of Jr. that I am not going to share. The 3 doors Down music video with Jr. and Tony Stewart is on the set. It’s too good. Buy the DVD set and find out for yourself. (NO. I am not making any money off this, in case the thought crosses your mind)
