I was searching for birth info on a couple of Driver’s that I don’t usually do for this weekend’s Sonoma Race Scope’s. I ran across Michael McDowell’s personal blog, written by McD himself, his wife and Mother in-law. Although they have not kept it up for awhile, it’s a great idea and way for his fans to connect with him. McD’s website, Michael McDowell.com, is well done, with a lot of information about Michael Waltrip’s new driver. There is a very poignant page dedicated to his mother Tracy, who passed away from cancer. The following poem is touching, and real. Knowing how it feels to lose your Mom to cancer, I was touched by the Memorial page.

nd me by ambulance the 200 mile trip to Boise. I said, ” No thanks! We will drive and save the ambulance bill:)”. Had surgery the morning of the 26th. Now I am home and not in Fontana as planned. Crud. I wanted to drive down anyway but the Doc’s said “Nope. No way.”
