Race car driver Paul Dana killed in crash at Homestead-Miami Speedway today.
Paul Dana was killed shortly after the warm up session began, in a horrendous two car crash with Ed Carpenter at Homestead- Miami Speedway this morning.
Ed Carpenter is listed as upgraded from critical to stable condition this evening. Our prayers are with him for a speedy recovery. We are very grateful he is ok.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Tanya and the rest of Paul’s freinds and family.
Paul Dana, age 30, was a native of St. Louis, and a resident of Indianapolis. He earned a journalism degree from Northwestern University and briefly covered mo
torsports for several publications. His race career started ten years ago in the Bridgestone Racing School Mechanics Championship where he scored two wins and six top-five finishes. Thereafter, he advanced to the Bridgestone Racing School Championship Series, the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Series and then to the FF1600 SCCA Nationals. Thereafter, he made his debut in the USF2000 series in 2001 and was a rookie in the Indy Pro Series in 2003. A year later he finished second in the IPS point standings with a victory at Milwaukee.
A year ago, Dana made his IndyCar Series debut at Homestead, finishing tenth in the Ethanaol Hemelgarn Racing entry. He competed in two more races before suffering a broken back during a practice session at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He spent the remainder of the 2005 recovering from his injuries, and today’s Toyota Indy 300 was to be his first race since the accident.

NASCAR Astro Predictions – It’s Bristol Baby!!
Here are today’s scopes for Bristol. I am posting them in order of significant aspects in order of strength and influence. Pay close attention to Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch’s scopes. I swear I don’t just make this stuff up.
Guess who’s scope has the most significant aspect’s of all?
**There are a lot of scope’s that refer to sexual/physical energy. The days that these aspects are active,when it comes down to the action of racing, means they will be feeling a lot of passion. Aggressive root chakra passion. Think about what male animal’s in the wild are like during rutting season. Of course, I took pictures. The one thing about having an obsession with cloud formations is I miss something cool when I don’t have my camera. Therefore I have my camera with me at all times. It is like my wallet.
Of course I had a little chat with the Manager and then I called the OWNER. I called the owner not only in regard to the disaster I walked into, but also had a little chat regarding the attitude of of his young manager. I will be meeting with the owner tomorrow. He can negotiate something with me here, as long as it is on my terms. If not, we are going to court.

An inside look into my life …
RRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!
So I went to my storage unit this morning….and well… let’s just say I am not happy camper and the manager of the place that I have paid $145.00 a fucking month to store my stuff safely for nearly 2 years knows it.
It has only been a little over a month since I was there last.
I opened my door …. the smell hit me…and there was mold all over the walls. All over my stuff.
AND there were also MICE droppings ALL OVER.
Needless to say I got a moving truck my stuff all out of there and in my back yard and I will be sorting through it non stop til I am done, working off my RAGE.
I probably won’t post here again until Monday, unless I need to do some more venting. I will be posting at The Church tho as it is Bristol weekend and I need to do my scope’s and another movee of the week about my NASCAR Men of Daring vs. The Aliens. If you haven’t seen all of the saga, you can do a search of the blog posts on Aliens and it will catch you up to where we are.

Jealous of the Moon and RX Issues
Well…I was going to try to post some pictures of my before and after and the progress I have made, but I guess the picture uploading issue isn’t resolved. So again, another day. I got some really cool cloud pictures I wanted to show too. Maybe I will upload them somewhere else and post the link later on today, if I get the time.
I heard this song a few weeks ago on the radio. You know how you hear a song and it hits you and you love it? How it sings to your soul? I have only heard it a few times ever. I guess this group is really popular and the song has been out for awhile. Somehow I had never heard it.
It reminds me of me, it reminds me of you, and it reminds me of all of us at some point in our lives. I burst into tears the first time I heard it.

As I cruise the Blogosphere, I am noticing a lot of people with Health Insurance issues. Not enough money to pay for meds that are needed to live their daily lives.People are going without. How many people actually die because they couldn’t but their meds, I wonder. I don’t think that would be listed on the death certificate as the cause of death, do you?
It makes me sick that a country like the United States of America even has a tiny issue with this, let alone a HUGE one.
I hate George Bush. I can’t wait til he is out of the Presidency. Did I ever tell any of you that? AND no, DUBYA, the media did not create my opinion for me or influence me. I said when you were cheated into your position, that our country was going to Hell, cuz maybe YOU are the Anti- Christ. You have done nothing yet to prove my theory wrong. You continue to validate my thoughts.

NASCAR, INDY: A COLD WAR ENDS
Here is a little NASCAR history that was published by THE VIRGINIAN-PILOT in 1994. Staff writer BOB ZELLER did an excellent job bringing NASCAR history to life. I dug it up in a search the other day for AAA.
NASCAR, INDY: A COLD WAR ENDS
The inaugural Brickyard 400 is scheduled for Saturday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This is the second of a three-part historical perspective.
On Thursday, May 13, 1954, an urgent message arrived at the office of chief steward Harry McQuinn at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
McQuinn’s men had spotted “Big” Bill France in the garage and pit area. What should they do?
Kick him out, McQuinn said.
Minutes later, the founder and president of NASCAR was escorted from the garage.
“He was given the old heave-ho,” the 1954 Floyd Clymer Indy yearbook said of the “amusing but not-so-pleasant” incident.
“I was there,” said speedway historian Bob Laycock. “I saw it happen. He just walked into the pit area and someone told McQuinn that Bill France was in the pits.”
Forty years later, Bill France Jr. and the entire NASCAR series return triumphant to the speedway for their own race – this Saturday’s sold-out, inaugural Brickyard 400.
Indy’s 82-year-old tradition of only one annual race has been broken by a same group of racers the Indy crowd once looked upon as hayseeds driving taxicabs in a sport with as much class as a demolition derby.
“Back then, it was like comparing a thoroughbred racehorse to a donkey,” said racing historian Greg Fielden, author of eight NASCAR history books.
In a large measure, the Indy tradition of a single race is the reason NASCAR hasn’t raced there until now. But the hostility between the people who ran Indy-car racing in the 1950s and Bill France Sr. played a big part.
“I just think there was too much friction earlier,” Fielden said. “NASCAR wasn’t particularly welcome up there, and their people weren’t particularly welcome down here in the South. There wasn’t much cooperation.”
The barriers fell only after Tony George, the growth-minded grandson of longtime owner Tony Hulman, ascended to the speedway presidency in 1990. George had seen his first NASCAR race in 1976, and liked it.
Ironically, George’s own dispute with IndyCar, the sanctioning body for the Indy-car series, helped hasten his decision to invite NASCAR to race at Indy. But the way the late Bill France told it, Hulman was never the problem in the first place.
“It was an unfortunate thing,” he told author Bill Neely in the late 1970s. “It certainly wasn’t Tony Hulman. He and I were friends. It was the old AAA (American Automobile Association) contest board, and they were jealous of NASCAR.”
Or contemptuous of NASCAR.
Either way, relations between the AAA contest board and France in the 1950s were as chilly as the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union.
A few years before he was kicked out of Indy, France had actually tried to work with the AAA, which sanctioned the Indy 500 and other auto racing in the United States until 1955, when it dropped out of racing and was replaced by the United States Auto Club.
“At some time, Bill France went to AAA to see if they would be interested in running a stock-car series,” said USAC historian Donald Davidson. “But the AAA said no. That’s when he went back down South and did what he did.
“No sooner had he got NASCAR going, the AAA began to sanction stock cars again. And that’s when the rivalry picked up.”
Periodically through the 1950s, both organizations suspended drivers for competing in the other’s races.
In 1952, NASCAR’s fifth year, France launched an Indy-car wing of NASCAR called the “Speedway Division.” The AAA called them “junk cars” and countered by scheduling an July 4 Indy-car race in Raleigh.
Neither venture endured.
In 1954, France made a flank attack on the AAA, establishing a NASCAR Auto Association. It didn’t survive.
That same year, when France announced plans for a stock-car speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., the Indianapolis Star called it a “pipe-dream speedway.”
And when McQuinn kicked France out of Indy, the AAA boss didn’t pull any punches explaining his action to National Speed Sport News. “We have a longstanding disagreement with NASCAR on what constitutes good racing,” he said.
France, to be sure, may have been trying to taunt the AAA when he invaded Indy. He had to borrow the silver badge one needed to get into the pits. Moreover, he said he had come to Indianapolis to confer with fairgrounds officials on a possible NASCAR race in the backyard of the Indy 500.
The enmity did not stop when USAC took over from the AAA. It continued into the early 1960s. In 1963, however, the Automobile Competition Committee of the United States, or ACCUS, was formed and the door opened for drivers from any type of racing to compete in any major national event.
It still took another 31 years to bring a stock car race to Indy, even though there were discussions about it in the early 1960s and late 1970s.
But the creation of ACCUS, and the end of the cold war between Indy and NASCAR, spawned a remarkable era in American racing, with Indy drivers competing and winning at Daytona and stock-car drivers coming to Indy. Foreign drivers did so as well.
And no race typified the new spirit better than the 1965 Indianapolis 500, which was won by Scotsman Jimmy Clark in a British-built Lotus-Ford serviced by NASCAR’s famed Wood Brothers. MEMO: Wednesday: Virginians invade the Indy pits.

Make a Prayer Flag – How To
Inspired by Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, by Cait Johnson (SkyLight Paths, 2003).
Spring is here, and the winds of change are blowing; the sky fills with birds and returning life is everywhere. In this season of airy expansiveness and hope, we can send out our wishes for peace, healing, and harmony on the winds with a simple prayer flag, inspired by a traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice. Here’s how to make a prayer flag.
This can be as simple or as elaborate as you like or as time allows, but all you really need is a small piece of smooth fabric, any size you like (although traditionally, these are not larger than about a twelve-inch square). You could use a piece torn from a discarded sheet, or an old handkerchief.
First, give some time and thought to the prayer you want to send out into the world. Now, using paint or an indelible pen or marker, write or draw your prayer on the fabric. If you have the time and the desire, you could add appliqués, hand-embroidery, or painting, but these are strictly optional.
Attach your flag to a length of string by folding down an inch of fabric from the top and doing a simple running stitch, then threading a piece of string through this channel. You could also use safety pins, or sew a length of ribbon at both top corners that are used to tie the flag to the string.
On a breezy day, bring your prayer flag and string outdoors and take a moment to ground and center yourself. Close your eyes and imagine the winds taking your prayer out to the world. Now choose a place to leave your flag where the wind will be able to move it. Branches of trees are ideal, but you could also place a stake in the ground and tie one end of your string to the top of it, with the other end of the string tied to a stone or smaller stake placed in or on the earth. Some people string their prayer flags across the top of a porch, or from tree to tree. You can add several prayer flags to your line.
Whenever you see your flag dancing, allow your heart to go out on the winds with your prayer.

I have someone who has been to my blogs many time according to the ip address. They read the Church blog today and came from a blog here. I always go check out other blogs and what is there is lot of very deep poetry and a last post type poem. I contacted the IP provider with th IP address which is all I can do. I am just sick tho. I hope it was just a poem. If not then thank the Universe for cookies.
The IP Provider Supervisor that I spoke with was runniung a trace on the IP address and contacting the local police immediately.
The post was written 22 minutes after the last visit to my blog. It says in the profile that she is in the 8th grade (mispelled weirdly, like on purpose) but the poetry on this blog and the other two blogs that are linked to it and go back awhile are way too deep for a child. I believe any way….She has been writing for awhile. Very intelligent, well done, deep posts…
Say a prayer for her….That is all we can do.

NASCAR Moods in Atlanta
It was a history making day in Atlanta today, and also a very sad day. Bobby Hamilton announced that he had been diagnosed with neck cancer prior to Daytona and was going to begin treatment this coming week. Tonight was going to be his last truck race until after treatment. He hopes to be back for the Homestead race. His thoughts were with the safety of the other driver’s, as his reactions may be slowed from his treatment. His life story is one of courage, dedication and triumph over true adversity. Raised by an alcoholic grandfather, he has been on his own since he was 13. He is the same age as I am. I cannot imagine having to have raised myself at that age, let alone became the successful and truly good person that he has become. His courage and determination to win the biggest race of his life is inspiring. Let us all remember Bobby, his family and medical team in our prayers.
Bill Lester made history as the first black driver to qualify for a Cup race in 20 years. Congratulations to him. He too, is a truly inspiring and truly good man with a beautiful story to tell. His story is one of dedication, love, support and the courage to chase a dream. Now he has cemented a place in history. His place.
Tony continues to have an issue or two. Robbie Gordon will race Sunday. Dale Jarrett was bouncing all over like Tony was. I was thrilled to see Bobby Labonte have a good run.
I am always soooooo sad when Kenny Wallace doesn’t qualify. Like I have said before, if I had an unlimited amount of money to play with, I would hire Kenny, pay him whatever he wanted, and let him do whatever he wanted to build his team. I wouldn’t care if he never won a race. He could have a lifetime unlimited contract to do as he pleased. Just cuz he’s Kenny.
The last lap battle in the truck race between Mark Martin and Todd Bodine was awesome. Brendan Gaughan’s little St. Paddy’s day jig after his little last lap twirl into the grass was too funny. Guess his Irish luck wasn’t exactly with him tonight, like it has been for his owner and dad, Las Vegas hotel and casino magnate Michael Gaughan and Grandfather, gaming pioneer Jackie Gaughan. Oh, well. What’s money anyway? I wish they would just give me the money to sponsor Kenny on my trip to Vegas next year.
So I am off to do scopes. Sunday is another day.

Congrats to Jimmy Johnson. What a surprise win…Nobody can say he cheated this time, except the people who just whine about everything anyway. The bad losers always do.
Too bad for Matt Kenseth, he drove like a Champ and cars can only be pushed so far. That is what racing is about.
How many points does a driver get for leading for 1000 feet during a race? I know how many point’s JJ got, so don’t send me a bunch of emails like I am as dumb as Big Baby Busch. Kurt has apologized once for him this week. Kurt has been acting sort of Human lately. All bubbly and funny and cute. The Mature Big Brother.

I do think, by the looks of this picture, that Tony thought Baby Busch was hiding from him right after the race. Tony wisely chose to leave the track, refusing any media interviews. This is what I think is really happening…
